Prime Viewing Spots for Friday Fireworks in Waikiki
Friday night fireworks are a must-see event in Waikiki! Every Friday there is a spectacular fireworks show that can be viewed from various spots along Waikiki, including The Imperial Hawaii Resort’s very own 26th-floor Owner’s Lounge. The fireworks begin either at 7:45 pm or 8:00 pm depending on sunset time and season. In the longer days of summer, the show starts at 8:00 pm.
Prime Viewing Spots:
Fort DeRussy Beach Park
Fort DeRussy Beach Park provides a beautiful beachside view, perfect for families and those wanting to enjoy the sand and surf before the show. There are also picnic tables and grills in the grassy, shaded area to have your very own pre-show cookout!
Waikiki Beach
Enjoy the fireworks anywhere along the wide stretch of beach between the Fort DeRussy Army Museum and the Rainbow Tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Spread a blanket on the sand, dip your toes in the ocean, and watch the marvelous show!
Koa Oasis
Along that same stretch of sand, you can find one of the only refreshment stands right on the beach where you can order an adult beverage. Enjoy a blended drink and sit in the shade of an umbrella table as you watch the sunset over Waikiki and then wait for the evening fireworks! The Koa Oasis is located directly on the beach near the pickleball courts in Fort DeRussy Beach Park.
The Imperial Hawaii Resort
Hotel guests can watch fireworks from the beach or the rooftop pool area. If you are a timeshare owner in the Imperial Hawaii Vacation Club, you have access to the private fireworks viewing party in the 26th Floor Owners’ Lounge. While the pool area is open to all guests, the Owners’ Lounge is a private area for timeshare owners to view the fireworks show and enjoy live music from local musicians.
