Art with Aloha: New Mural Celebrates Waikiki’s Spirit and Features Local Artist

The Imperial Hawaii Resort loves collaborating with local artists to celebrate the rich culture and vibrant spirit of Hawaii. We’re excited to feature the incredible artwork of Journey Flores, a talented local artist from Honolulu. Journey recently completed a beautiful mural for our foot-washing station here at The Imperial Hawaii Resort, capturing the essence of Hawaii’s natural beauty with her vibrant and thoughtful style. We hope to commission her for more projects in the future—stay tuned for that!

Journey is the daughter of Jody Gamiao, who is a valued member of our Membership Services team. She is currently pursuing a degree in Cinematic Arts with an Animation Track at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Her work has been showcased in publications like Academy XXXIII and the illustrated book “What Day Are You”. With a strong background in Adobe Creative Suite, she continues to explore new ways to bring stories to life through her art.
