A DAY-TRIP IN HONOLULU
Meet the City We Know and Love
PEARL HARBOR
The USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor marks the resting place of 1,102 sailors and Marines killed on USS Arizona during the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and commemorates the events of that day. The Visitor Center operated by the National Park Service is free to the public, and has a museum with exhibits about the Pearl Harbor attack.

MANOA FALLS
One of the best things about Honolulu living is that you’re never far from the splendor of nature. Mānoa Falls is probably the quintessential example of this. Head straight back from Waikiki towards the mountains and you will find this quick and easy waterfall hike. If you’ve got time, check out the Lyon Arboretum, just up the road from the trailhead.

INTERNATIONAL MARKETPLACE
International Market Place is an open-air shopping center just a short walk from down Kalākaua Avenue from the Imperial. It first opened in 1956 as a commercial retail and entertainment center. On August 25, 2016, the International Market Place reopened as a modern shopping, dining and entertainment center, offering 345,000 square-feet of retailers and restaurants. Its tenants include approximately 90 stores and 10 restaurants.

WAIKIKI BEACH
We could do this every day and never get tired of it. There’s really no better way to spend the day’s end than watching the sunset with those you treasure, is there? Waikiki Beach always makes for a great vista to the twice-daily light show in the Hawaiʻi skies.
